(This is the real world; I know you have limits.) Then I analyze what I've learned, and design software to help you "do what you do" within your budget of time and money. (See? I remembered: this is the real world.) I create a sample for you to test and use your feedback to improve it. A few cycles of this and we're ready for you to use it. Is it everything you could imagine? Probably not. But you can trust it; it'll do what we designed it to do and do it reliably. And we can improve it later when the budget allows.
