Mixon Consulting, Inc. is a training and consulting organization founded by SharePoint MVP, Bob Mixon.
The value we provide is a methodology, conveyed through the orchestration of training and consulting, which systematically causes a paradigm shift in the way people perceive and interact with information and comprehend its value to them and the organization the serve.
The impact this creates in our client's experience and those they serve is to free the information worker from the bonds of information overload and empower them to engage and contribute in ways that fulfill and support both themselves and the organization.
Our proven process (over 100 successful MOSS deployments) identifies and integrates the three critical success factors for MOSS or any document/knowledge management or information asset solution:
Critical Success Factor One: Create solutions that make it easy for the content contributor to get information into SharePoint. We train organizations to understand how to implement solutions that reduces, if not eliminates, the question “where does this go?”… In addition, using the implementation techniques and methodologies, will help reduce document duplication and make certain business has ownership.
Critical Success Factor Two: Create solutions that are designed to serve the content consumer through easy to understand navigation. The content consumer must have easy (and quick) access to information through a topical, functional AND task based navigation structure. They should not be concerned with or care where information assets are physically stored.
Critical Success Factor Three: Provide your content consumers with relevant search results. SharePoint search does work; however, information has to be architected to see this business value.
We are committed to empowering the implementation team (knowledge and project manager, business analysts and information architects) and the information workers so that the solutions are adopted and business value is realized.
